Product Description :
The fabled Apache Tear Story: Legend of the Old West has it that Apache Tears have a most romantic, nostalgic origin.
The tale goes that a band of marauding Apache warriors ran afoul of the American Army detachment patrolling the territory in the vicinity of what now is the town of Superior, Arizona.
A fierce, bloodthirsty battle resulted in the complete rout of the Apaches who left many slain brethren behind.
Next morning the Apache women came upon the battlefield to search out their dead.
The heartbroken women and maidens, upon viewing the scene, grieved so desperately that their torrid tears turned to stone.
Today, these beautiful tear-stones are known as Apache Tears.
