Bulldog Hardware 3 in. Safety Barrel Bolt, Brass Plated

Secure your doors, gates, screens and cabinets, with a Barrel Bolt from Bulldog Hardware. Barrel bolts are designed to prevent unwanted openings by securing a door or gate from a single side. The 2-piece construction includes a sliding bolt mechanism and a separate catch plate that the sliding bar fits inside when in the locked position. The barrel bolt is surface mounted, often with the sliding metal bar on the door and the catch plate on the door frame, so when the bolt is extended into the catch plate the door is blocked from being opened. To open the barrel bolt, simply retract the bolt from the catch plate and secure the bolt in the unlocked position. Installation is easy, determine the location, mark and drill pilot holes, and use the mounting screws provided to secure the unit into place while the bar is closed position.
