Our USA-grown Spiky Sansevieria offers endless possibilities to refresh any living space. Sansevieria, also known as a snake plant or Mother-in-law’s tongue, is the genus name for this charming type of succulent plant, which is known for its incredible hardiness and stylish features. This resilient variety is an upright species with impressive ripples of variegation across each thick, pointed leaf. Spiky Sansevieria shares similar features to the Sansevieria cylindrica variety, but has a strikingly different growing pattern. The leaves of this unique succulent grow tightly arranged in a spiral shape in five distinct rows, giving it the spiky look that earns its name. Snake plants like this one are perfect for beginners to houseplants because they are extremely difficult to kill and can easily survive drought and dimly lit environments. As it matures, a Sansevieria plant may extend a long flower spike from the center that features small, white blooming flowers. Snake plants are remarkably versatile and commonly displayed in decorative pots, hanging planters, planter boxes, and much more. Arrange them on a plant stand or plant shelf to show off their charming features. Keep these succulents happy by planting them in a well-draining soil and watering them about once every other week. Snake plants can thrive as indoor or outdoor plants due to their tolerance of moderate to bright light, but they do best when kept in a partially shaded area out of direct sunlight. Each snake plant ships fully rooted in a 2.5 inch grow pot, estimated to range from 4 to 5 inches tall (measured from the rim of the pot), and is ready to be transferred to a container or location of your choice. We take every precaution to package your plants for a successful arrival. Sansevieria plants are resilient, although more fragile leaves may experience minimal damage in-transit. Every so often a package will endure some stress, causing some soil or plants to come loose. Should soil disruption occur, simply put the loose soil back in the pot, dampen it, and make a hole to place the plant in. To stabilize the plant, gently push soil around the base.
