Camassia leichtlinii is often referred to as Camassia Quamash, a native American name. It produces linear strap-shaped leaves and star shaped flowers that rise above a foliage clump. This species blooms blue with yellow anthers. Plant in well draining soil. After planting, water well to settle the bulbs. For an informal look, plant in groups in natural swathes.
