My After Plan® conveniently packages a single-dose emergency contraceptive pill (Levonorgestrel 1.5 mg tablet) with an at-home pregnancy test. The My After Plan emergency contraception pill should be taken within 72 hours of unprotected sex or birth control failure. The My After Plan pregnancy test can be used after you have taken the My After Plan Emergency contraceptive pill if your period is delayed
- Directions: My After Plan® emergency contraceptive pill is a single dose of levonorgestrel, to be taken orally, within 72 hours (3 days) of after birth control failure or unprotected sex. The sooner you take the My After Plan® emergency contraceptive pill, the better it works. Most doctors recommend using a pregnancy test after taking an emergency contraceptive pill. Use the My After Plan® pregnancy test to test on the first day after your missed period for extra peace of mind.
- Warning: The My After Plan® emergency contraceptive pill should not be used as a regular birth control method, because it’s not as effective as regular birth control. Do not use My After Plan® emergency contraceptive if you are already pregnant or if you are allergic to levonorgestrel or any other ingredients in the My After Plan® emergency contraceptive pill. The Levonorgestrel tablet will not work if you are already pregnant and will not affect an existing pregnancy. Side effects may include changes in your period, nausea, lower stomach (abdominal) pain, tiredness, headache, dizziness and breast tenderness. The Levonorgestrel tablet will not protect you from HIV infection (the virus that causes AIDS) and other sexually transmitted diseases (STDs). If you have any specific questions about emergency contraception, speak to your healthcare provider. My After Plan® pregnancy test: Store at 39° – 86° F (4°-30° C). Test kits should be kept away from direct sunlight, moisture and heat.
