With an improved, easy to spread formula this seed mix has everything you need to repair thinning or bare spots in your lawn. It includes seed, 100% recycled mulch to keep the seed moist during establishment, and fertilizer to help feed seedlings for up to 6 weeks for fast growth and thick results. This mix absorbs 3x its weight in water to keep the seeds moist. The fall and spring are the best times to use Scotts® PatchMaster® Lawn Repair Mix Tall Fescue Mix as seed germinates best anytime temperatures are between 60°F and 80°F. For best results, water daily or as needed to keep the soil surface moist until the seedlings reach at least 3 inches tall. With proper care, you’ll start to see growth in as few as 7 days. One 4.75 lb. bag can cover a 70 sq. ft. bare spot or a 140 sq. ft. area of thinning grass.
