The Nice Ones are an American progressive rock group formed in 2011 by vocalist and guitarist Patrick Surdam, guitarist Sam McGarrity, bassist Dillon Morrison Halas, and drummer Tyler Beaujon in the northeast town of Kent, Connecticut. Fusing intricate songwriting with high-energy performances, the band is steadily gaining prominence as one of the tri-state area’s most innovative acts. Their music is both fervent and warm; live shows incorporate an impressive range of tender serenades, irresistible funk, and heavy bursts of distorted passion. While constantly developing in sound, The Nice Ones comprise elements of rock, soul, blues, funk, and jazz but employ influences from all over the musical spectrum, constantly transcending genres.
