How To Do Poster Board Paper Flower Making

Materials:

• Foam Disc
• Wooden dowel
• Gold spray paint
• Colorful poster board
• Scissors
• Hot glue gun

Instructions:

Step 1: Spray paint wooden dowel. Let dry 20 minutes. Sketch different sized petals (small, medium, and large) and cut out. 

Step 2: The shapes don’t need to be perfect – the flowers will look more organic with some imperfections. Cut a slit almost half way up from the base of the petal.

Step 3: Place a dab of hot glue along the bottom slit, and fold one over the other. Repeat for all petals. Beginning with the large petals, hot glue the base of the petal to the foam disc. Continue adding, slightly overlapping each petal until you’ve made a full circle. Repeat with medium petals and then small petals.

Step 4: For the center of the flower, cut out two wavy circles with one smaller than the other. Like the petals, cut a slit half-way up and glue together.

Step 5: Glue the large circle in the middle of the flower, and then the smaller circle on top of that.  Push the wooden dowel a couple of inches into the foam to make a hole. Remove, add a dab of hot glue to the end of the dowel, and re-insert.
