Vitamin C is an essential nutrient‚ but when it is in an isolated and/or synthetic form‚ it is quite poorly absorbed and can actually adversely affect our health! According to one human study‚ 1500 mg (total) of isolated and/or synthetic vitamin C per day can cause iron deficiency and anemia!
