This Stress Thermometer is an ideal tool for training your body to relax. It is useful for counseling, hypnotherapy, research data collection and massage relaxation. You can also use it to test your friends for fun. By becoming aware of your stress level and reducing it, you can lower your blood pressure, eliminate headaches and sleep better. The device is easy to use. Just tape the sensor to a fingertip or gently hold it between two fingers. Warm indicates a relaxed state and cold means tense. It works by letting you see changes in hand/foot temperature, which is a reflection of blood flow – a measure of the stress response. When the body’s fight/ flight system is activated the muscles tense, heart rate speeds up and blood flow is kept for the vital organ.As a result, changes of five, 10 or 15 can drop or raise in minutes and the amount relates to stress. It has an LCD display that displays to the nearest 0.1. This stress sensor also has a 10′ thermistor wire that monitors both body temperature and room temperature that updates every two seconds.
