Sansevieria Boncel Dwarf, also known as a snake plant or Mother-in-law’s tongue, is the genus name for this charming type of succulent plant. Also known as “fan snake plant,” this is a rare and compact variety of Sansevieria, growing much shorter than other varieties and featuring petite, robust leaves that are lighter in color. ‘Dwarf Boncel’ shares similar features with the ‘Baby Boncel’ variety, but is even smaller and more compact. The leaves are round and stout, but are generally more pointed than ‘Baby Boncel’ leaves. As the plant matures, these leaves grow low and outward into a fan-shape, earning it the aforementioned nickname. Snake plants like this one are perfect for beginners to houseplants because they are extremely difficult to kill and can easily survive drought and dimly lit environments.
